1. How do I add another Coach or Manager?
You will need to activate him/her the same way you activated the original coach or manager. You need to complete the activation process for any person you wish to add to your teams "staff", the PSL Manager will send out an activation code at the beginning of the season.
This is the only way you can add bench personnel to the PSL team roster, this can be done at any time as long as you have the activation code.
2. What do I do if it is raining?
The PSL Manager cannot make a decision on a game being played if it is located in a different part of the province to where they are, the PSL match referee will make the final decision on whether the game can go ahead.
Home team contacts shall notify visiting teams and the PSL Manager in a timely manner of game cancellation(s) due to weather. The PSL Manager will make best efforts to monitor field and weather conditions and notify teams immediately in the event of game cancellations due to inclement weather.
Please do not call the PSL manager requesting a weather forecast.
3. Why do I need more than one team contact?
The more people that get the website generated e-mails the better. From time to time the PSL Manager might need to make game modifications such as location or time. An e-mail with those changes is automatically sent to all team contacts that are involved - so the more contacts the more likely it is that the change get noticed! The more eyes the better!
4. What do I do if my team receives a red card?
Enter this information in your game report - the player will then automatically serve the league enforced one game suspension. This player will not be able to be selected for the next scheduled game.
Please visit the PSL Rules for more information on disciplinary action.
5. What if I made a mistake in entering the game information?
Please sent an e-mail to psl@sasksoccer.com with the game date and number in the subject box - the PSL Manager will then go behind the scenes and make the amendments.
6. Adding a Player to the Roster once the season has started and the PSL website is locked?
The deadline for registration or transfer of players to be eligible for weekend matches is 12:00pm on Wednesday of the week prior. Any affiliation requests received after this deadline will be ineligible for matches taking place during that weekend (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday). The deadline for registration of players for weekday matches is 12:00pm on Friday of the week prior. Any requests received after this deadline will be ineligible for matches taking place during that week (i.e. Monday-Thursday).
7. Why do we need to attend the Pre & Post Season PSL Meetings?
The PSL Meetings provide the Saskatchewan Soccer Association, the PSL teams the facility operators and the local Member organizations with the opportunity to discuss rules and regulations, the changes to a new season, observations from the last season and other important issues that make the PSL the top developmental league within our province.
8. What is expected of the PSL winners when attending the National Championships?
Please click on the relevant section (7. National Championships) of the PSL Rules for information of what teams are required to provide in regards to fundraising, schedules and team management at the CSA National Championships.
9. Why does the home team need to prepare the field?
The home team is responsible for access to the allocated soccer field, plus they have to make sure there are nets in both goals and corner flags. This responsibility is included as home teams will have easier access to the required equipment, they will also be aware of any natural issues such as standing water, potential gopher holes and poorly lined fields.
10 . Why do PSL teams need to enter their scores within 72 hours of the final whistle?
The PSL Manager needs to update the PSL website and send the scores to local media across Saskatchewan, plus any disciplinary action needs to be dealt with quickly so team managers should add the scores as soon as possible to avoid delays in suspensions.
